The City contracts for all legal services.

The law firm of Nichols, Jackson is an AV-rated limited liability partnership practicing municipal law and litigation. The firm has enjoyed a continued existence since 1895, making it one of the oldest law firms in Texas. Our primary area of practice has been the representation of cities and political subdivisions. We serve as general and special counsel for dozens of government entities throughout Texas, although our practice is primarily focused in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area. We provide assistance in every field, for all areas of law affecting cities and can fulfill the complete legal requirements of our clients.

Since Nichols, Jackson is a private firm, our clientele is not restricted solely to municipalities and political subdivisions. Our client base includes private corporations and individuals. Although all our attorneys have a broad background in municipal law, certain attorneys have sub-specialties in other areas such as trial and appellate work in all Texas state and federal courts, construction law, employment law, and insurance defense.

Our fee for the representation of our municipal and political clients is the same low hourly rate charged to all cities, plus expenses. Our simple fee structure applies the same rate for partners as for associates, regardless of experience, and all our municipal or political clients are charged at the same rate.
