Seniors 65 or Older...

If a Senior Citizen (Age 65 or above) pays the City directly for their water utility service, they may apply for a $2.00 discount on their monthly water rate. The applications are available on-line and at City Hall located at 209 South Washington Street. Applicants must show proof of age with either a birth certificate or driver’s license.

The City of Kaufman is proud to be able to offer this discount to its most gracious citizens of the community.

If you know someone who might qualify for this discount, please encourage them to apply or bring them to City Hall.

The City of Kaufman welcomes you..

to the Resident's Page. we wanted to offer something that took you quickly to information that may be most relevant. We would like it to be almost a community bulletin board. If there is any information you would like to see here, e-mail us.

Spay/Neuter Program

The City of Kaufman has received a $10,000 Pet Smart Charities grant to pay for spaying and neutering of pets belonging to Kaufman residents.
All surgeries are being performed by the Kaufman County Animal Awareness Project's regional veterinary clinic located in Crandall. All residents have to do is call KCAAP for information and set up an appointment. When getting there, if they produce a City of Kaufman utility bill, the pet owner will only have to pay $5 and the grant will pay the balance.

There may be additional charges for vaccinations if your pet's shots are not current, but those costs are nominal. Call KCAAP at 972/472-3500 for more information. We have the Pet Smart Corporation to thank for this generous grant to minimize the propagation of unwanted litters.

Kaufman 20/20

Get involved! The community is starting a massive planning process that will involve hundreds. "What will Kaufman look like in fifteen years?" asks City Manager Curtis Snow. "That is what the Council wants to know."

An organization has been formed, called "Kaufman 20/20," to answer that question. "Kaufman 20/20" is headed up by twenty community members from all walks of life. There are restaurateurs, retirees, media professionals, and basic people that make up our community. You can be involved too.
